Folk Museum/Former Residential House of the Mitsuh
Cultural Heritage
The Mitsuhashi House was built in 1828 as the residence of the Mitsuhashi family, who served for the Toda clan (direct shogunal vassal) as headmen of the fief within Kagawa Village during the Edo period. After the house was used for six generations, it was donated to Chigasaki City, designated as an important cultural property in 1971, and in 1973, it was moved, restored, and opened as a folk museum.
