Jokenji Temple is the family temple of the Ooka family, known for the famous Edo-period magistrate Ooka Echizen-no-kami Tadasuke, and about 60 graves, including those of the first-generation Tadakatsu, are neatly lined up in a section of the cemetery. Every year in April, the Ooka Echizen Festival is held in honor of Tadasuke's legacy.
