Among the Koshin-to monuments with year inscriptions in the city, this one, which has "Kan'ei 17 (1640)" as its year, is the oldest in the city. It is also famous for its beauty in the prefecture, and is the oldest Koshin-to monument in the country with three monkeys carved on it.
