Excavated from the Tsutsumi Shell Mound, a National Historic Site designated by Kanagawa Prefecture, this deep-bowl earthenware from the late Jomon period (Horinouchi I style) is representative of the Tsutsumi Shell Mound and is a familiar material that has been known in the city for many years.
